The fifth round of the Norwegian National Cup was held on Sunday, 8th January. The track was very small with extremely high grip and many tricky combinations.

The modified class was cancelled due to lack of competitors, so a few modified racers entered into the 19-turn Superstock class. New this season is foam tires in this class, and with the extremely high grip in this carpet, traction rolling would be a problem. But not for the T2 drivers. Most cars were flipping over and it was very tricky to drive, but the T2 showed that its low center-of-gravity worked well from start to finish.

In qualifying, I set a new lap record and TQ by more than 1 lap over Adrian Berntsen in 2nd. Trygve Berntsen rounded out the top 3; all three top drivers were racing with the new T2.

In the finals, I took the lead from start to finish in all three finals, while Adrian and Trygve battled for 2nd place. Adrian showed that in this case "younger is better" by beating his dad ; Adrian ended up in 2nd place and his father Trygve finished in 3rd place after great driving.
